Who is eldelphia?

eldelphia is 'Manda, an avid roleplayer based in the UK. For those of you who have seen the adverts for a certain soft cheese, the name was devised for a half elven animist character, who wanted to be Elrond but wasn't quite bright enough :)

I am a qualified Information officer, with a Philosophy BA(Hons) from Southampton and a LIS MA from UCL. I've been Live roleplaying within the LT system for over five years and have done quite a bit of tabletop and other LRP before that.

I really love rock and heavy metal. I'm not that up to date - a lot (but not all )of my stuff is 10+ years old. Monsters of Rock is me :) Not much happier than when I can stand in the middle of a dance floor and throw my hair about.

I also love local (UK) ancient history and mythology. Too many peeps are into the Classics, The UK is an incredible place - I collect mythology, folktale and other similar books. These extend to the Vikings who are idealised in my head but I guess I have a huge respect for people who had that environment to cope with and did so well. Not keen on the romans, although I have to acknowledge their impact on early europe. Seem to have an empathy with old places. Can't put it into better words than that. Feel a huge attraction to Waylands Smithy and the ruins of the iron age fort at Uffington.

I move around too much, am too independent but I'm rarely happier than when surrounded by friends.

I'm always seeking new challenges, find a lot of my life in song and have an obsession with long haired men!
